190 km
Marrakech → Argan Country → Essaouira
Your driver picks you up at your riad or hotel at around 8 in the morning. The road goes west across wide plains. About halfway, the argan trees begin. Argan trees grow only in this part of the world, and if you are lucky you will see goats standing high in the branches, eating the fruit.
You stop at a women's cooperative where you can watch how argan oil is made by hand, and taste amlou, a sweet paste of almonds, honey and argan oil. You arrive in Essaouira before lunch, with the sea wind in your face.
